Effect of temperature. Crude coffee oil (0.5 g) and ethanol were taken in the molar ratio of 1:4. 10% (w/w of oil) Novozym 435 lipase was added and incubated at different temperatures. Aliquots were taken out at regular intervals and analyzed by GC as described in materials and methods section. The experiments were done in duplicates and the error between the two sets was within 3%.
